What is sensor technology?
Applicable to several fields, sensor technology refers to the development of a sensor, "a device that responds to a physical stimulus and transmits a resulting signal." (The New IEEE Standard Dictionary of Electrical and Electronics Terms, 5th edition, IEEE Inc.)
