What is RFID?
Short for radio frequency identification, RFID is a technology that uses electronic tags for storing data. An RFID system consists of an antenna and a transceiver that reads the RF and transfers the information to a processing device, and a transponder or tag, which is an IC that holds the RF circuitry and the information to be transmitted.
