Code size and complexity double every two years, leading to more than half of embedded designs running three to four months behind schedule. A third of them do not meeting basic performance requirements and about 24 percent get cancelled.
Should India, which is now beginning to use higher-level software to develop code for custom hardware, look towards graphical tools to enable easier and rapid prototyping? Is it worth the investment in training time and tool costs?
