Outdoor GPS devices are moving beyond their niche market and taking on wider steps with advance multimedia functions, intuitive user interfaces and easy operation, according to ABI Research study "Outdoor GPS Devices and Solutions".
The study says that the emergence of various social networking community sites, which are launched by GPS vendors, map providers, magazine publishers and outdoor retailers, has facilitated GPS track exchanges and file sharing among users through the technology's GeoTagging function and multimedia applications.
With the increasing demand for outdoor GPS, should companies cut the prices of these devices?
