When to use filterless Class-D amps?

Is true that you can’t use filterless Class-D amps if the wire length to the loudspeaker is longer than 10cm? If it’s true, why is it so? Also, why do some filterless Class-D amps, such as LM4675 have filters on thier demo board?

Filterless class D amplifier using spread spectrum pulse width modulation with feedback to suppress low frequency noise in the amplifier output. The amplifiers may use any of a wide variety of pulse width modulators with a dynamically variable frequency ramp or triangular waveform to whiten the output noise of the amplifier.
