Is open source just a fad?

Some engineers and IT people say that open source is just a fad. And that it won’t really last because it’s unreliable anyway since anyone can modify it. But I see that it’s putting up a good fight. In fact, the open source community is getting even stronger.. the support for this initiative is just enormous. Linux seems to be thriving nowadays.

Will open source ever topple closed source? What do you think?

Not at all. Open Source:Closed Source :: Dialogue:Monologue. The world is open for dialogues. Monologes by so called oracles would slowly be phased out of thie world. The world is going to be flatter. More than 80% of the scientists and engineers ever alive are alive today. We need to make a difference. The only way to connect us is through dialogue, that is through open source.
