A lot of high-tech companies in the U.S. have announced layoffs and reorganization programs. Because of this, labour groups and various organizations have strongly expressed, once more, their take on offshoring jobs to low-wage countries like India. Where do you stand on this issue? If you were in the shoes of these U.S. workers, what would you do?

while it's not hard to put myself in the shoes of a laid-off employee, this so-called advantage that we have as low-cost workers is really only affecting Americans now. we, however, have had to live with lower salaries for a long time. but of course, we can also say that lower pay is better than no pay at all. I hope such a day comes when salaries become even, that we would only be competing on the basis of actual skills, and still say India has the advantage in terms of that.

If this backlash threatens engineering jobs here, I think the Indian govt and organisations like the ISA should do something about it.

Would be better if they can understand the each ones requirement and start their own business using technology. That would mean (6M/6), business that would buregaon in US. 6 Million laid-off and 6 per business house One business house would train the Indian on quality management and the Indians to teach the Americans on various progrmmaing languages. Win win for both and in the long run, there wont be any parity
