I am a Sr. VP of Semiconductors at MindTree and hold an MTech from IIT Kanpur. I have over 21 years of experience in the electronics industry and specialize in Hardware, IC Design and embedded technologies. Prior to MindTree, I was with Wipro抯 R&D. Apart from electronics, I have interests in the field of medicine, photography and philosophy.

| Longer Introduction of Blog Owner: |
I am a graduate in Electronics Engineering. I completed my BE in Electronics & Communication Engineering with Honours from Madras University in 1984. Subsequently, I completed my Masters in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1986.
I joined Wipro抯 R&D as a campus recruit in 1986 and went on to hold several positions there. I was involved in the development of intelligent peripheral controllers for various minicomputers during my initial years at Wipro. I was responsible for designing high end processor and memory subsystems based on the Motorola series of microprocessors. Subsequently, in 1990, I moved on to build capabilities in VLSI Design and helped to grow this as one of the larger strengths of the organization. I was one of the pioneers to have started chip design in India and have been a part of some of the industry wide initiatives in this area.
In the year 2000, I joined MindTree Consulting and have been involved in building its Hardware and IC Design capabilities since then. I have been responsible for bringing in the tools and methodologies in these areas. At MindTree, I also incubated the development of Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technology which is undergoing development and testing as of now. Currently I am a Senior Vice President addressing the Semiconductor market. I was instrumental in doubling the growth of this segment year on year over the past 3 years at MindTree.
I am actively involved with various initiatives of the India Semiconductor Association and passionate to see India emerging as a large player in the semiconductor segment.
I spend my leisure reading books on Indian philosophy, listening to Indian classical music, experimenting with photography and learning about the advances and trends in the field of medicine.
